1. Services Provided

1.1 What We Offer

• Resume and career document review
• Interview preparation and coaching
• Salary negotiation guidance
• Performance management support
• Career transition planning & workplace situation analysis
• New supervisor coaching

1.2 What We Do NOT Provide

1.3 Professional Qualifications

All Work Decoded consultants hold PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP certifications with 5–10+ years of experience.

1.4 Not Attorney-Client Relationship

No attorney-client relationship is created. Our consultations are confidential but not protected by attorney-client privilege. If you have legal concerns, consult a licensed employment attorney.

2. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when booking or communicating with us.

3. Booking and Scheduling

3.1 How to Book

Complete our intake form, select your consultant tier, choose available time slots, and provide payment. You’ll receive a confirmation email and a 24-hour reminder.

3.2 Cancellation & Rescheduling

• More than 24 hours before: cancel or reschedule with no penalty
• Less than 24 hours before: session is forfeited — no refund, one session deducted from packages

3.3 No-Shows & Late Arrivals

No-shows are considered complete and non-refundable. Sessions begin at the scheduled time — late arrivals do not receive extensions.

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Service Fees

• Standard Consultancy: 30-minute session — Everyday workplace guidance, including wage and hour violation, job misclassification, promotion, benefits (leave, disability, accommodations, etc.), preparing for conversation with HR or management, and building healthy work-life boundaries. • Premier Consultancy: 30-minute session — Support for complex, high-stakes situations, including severance packages, transition agreements, separation agreements, discrimination, harassment, hostile work environments, grievances, retaliation, whistleblowing, workplace investigations, performance management (PIP, demotion, probation), and salary negotiation. • Crisis Consultancy: 30-minute session — When you need answers now. Connect with a Consultant within 24 hours for urgent, time-sensitive situations that can't wait. See our website for current pricing, packages, and validity periods.

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and debit cards. We do not accept cash, personal checks, or payment plans — full payment required at booking.

5. Refund Policy

• Cancel more than 24 hours in advance: full refund
• Cancel less than 24 hours in advance: no refund
• If we cannot help your situation before the session: full refund
• Technical issues on our end: full refund or reschedule at your option

Packages are non-refundable. Unused sessions may be transferred to another person with advance notice. Contact us for extraordinary circumstances.

6. Package Expiration

• 3-session packages: valid 6 months
• 5-session packages: valid 9 months

Unused sessions expire at the end of the validity period and cannot be extended or refunded. We will send reminder emails as expiration approaches.

7. Confidentiality and Privacy

All information you share is kept confidential. We will not share your information with your employer, other clients, or third parties (except as required by law).

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Work Decoded website — text, graphics, logos, service descriptions, templates, and methodologies — is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share our content without written permission.

9. User Conduct

You agree to provide truthful information, treat our consultants with respect, and use our Services lawfully. You may not record consultations without written consent, share package codes, or submit false information. We reserve the right to terminate access for violations with no refund.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Our Services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Work Decoded, its consultants, and affiliates from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our Services, violation of these Terms, or actions taken based on our guidance.

12. Third-Party Services

Our website uses Acuity Scheduling, Stripe/Square, Squarespace, and Google Analytics. Your use of these services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or linked websites.

13. Dispute Resolution

Contact us first at support@workdecodedhq.com — we work in good faith to resolve issues informally. If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration with the AAA in Washington, DC. You agree to bring claims only individually — no class actions.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia and the United States. Any legal action must be brought in Washington, DC courts.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will update the “Last Updated” date and notify you of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
